First year painting exercise

Following on from introductory classes on the colour wheel and colour mixing, our first years completed paintings of simple object still-lifes.  The objects were grouped into warm colours and cool colours.  The pupils practiced mixing secondary and tertiary colours, creating shades and tints and applying their new knowledge of the art elements.
